Report on Guest Lecture: Lifestyle Diseases and Ayurvedic Solutions 21.1.25

The Department of Kayachikitsa, APM’s Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Sion, Mumbai, organised an insightful guest lecture on “Lifestyle Diseases: Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction – Evidence-Based Ayurvedic Solutions” on 21st January 2025. The esteemed speaker, Dr. KVGS Murthy, MBBS, CEO & Director of Alakananda Herbals Pvt. Ltd. and Director of Kalaga Herbal Research Labs, graced the session.

The lecture commenced at 2:00 PM in the college auditorium, with a remarkable turnout of 150 students from both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, alongside faculty members. Dr. Murthy highlighted the role of vascular endothelial dysfunction in lifestyle diseases and provided practical, evidence-based Ayurvedic solutions for its management. He emphasised the integration of traditional Ayurvedic principles with modern scientific approaches.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating Dr. Murthy’s enriching insights and the Kayachikitsa Department’s efforts in organising this educational event. The lecture proved to be a valuable learning experience, fostering greater awareness among students and faculty about the potential of Ayurveda in addressing contemporary health challenges.
